Q. Why can’t I hear some sound while I can hear others? (For example: can hear Youtube, but can’t hear iTunes or vice versa)
- If you activated iTunes before plugging in Mint, Mint cannot be the default playback audio for iTunes.
- Please deactivate and reactivate your iTunes while Mint is plugged in. Then, your PC will output iTunes music with your Mint.
- One PC tip: Please make sure to plug in the Mint transmitter before activating any players like iTunes, Windows media player, or playing sound on internet browsers
Q. How do I connect Mint to my PC?
- Turn on your Mint
- Select Wireless input by pushing the wireless input button on the remote
- Plug the Mint transmitter into an empty USB port on your PC.
- Your PC will automatically detect the transmitter and set up Mint as the default playback device.
- Your PC is now connected to your Mint. Play anything you want!
Important PC tip: Please make sure to plug in the Mint transmitter before activating any players like iTunes, Windows media player, or playing sound on internet browsers. PC’s pick up the default playback audio when an application is activated and never change. That is why Mint should be set up as the default playback audio before activating the application you want to play.
Q. How do I connect Mint to my MAC?
- Turn on your Mint
- Select Wireless input by pushing the wireless input button on the remote
- Plug the Mint transmitter into an empty USB port on your PC.
- Click system preference > audio > output > Mint
- Mac set up is now completed.
Q. Can I use my computer speaker and Mint at the same time?
- No, neither Macs nor PCs allow two sound outputs at the same time.
- Mac does not allow two sound outputs at the same time.
- PC also does not allow the same sound to go to multiple speakers at the same time. However, if you follow a tricky sequence, you can play different music on your PC speaker and Mint.
Q. How do I pair the Mint transmitter and speakers?
- The Mint speaker system comes paired already. However, if you lost your transmitter and got a new one, you need to pair it with your Mint.
- Select the wireless input mode on your Mint speakers.
- Plug the Mint transmitter into a USB port of your computer.
- If the LEDs on Transmitter and speakers are flashing, this means they are not paired.
- Just push connect button once on the transmitter and then the speakers.
- If the LED is steadily growing, your speakers and transmitter are now paired.
Q. Can I hear the same music from my computer in multiple rooms?
- Yes, you can. The Second generation Mint wireless solution has multi-room capability.
- The 2G transmitter included in the Mint Studio system can send audio to up to three 2G wireless receivers at the same time.
- The Mint Studio speaker has a 2G wireless receiver inside.
- All you need to do is activate the pairing process and place three Mint Studio speakers anywhere within 100 ft from this transmitter.
- Tip: Mint 130 and 220 do not have multi-room capability.
Q. Does Mint support iPhone?
- Yes, Mint will charge and play your iPhone via the universal iPod dock.
- If your iPhone does not operate in 3G, there might be some slight static noise.
Q. My remote is not working.
- Make sure the remote is within range.
- If the remote still doesn't work, remove the battery compartment and reinsert it.

- Mint will replace your remote for free up to one year from your purchase date.
Q. How do I extend the wireless operation range?
- If you are using a desktop case, use the USB cradle to put the Mint transmitter into an open space, making sure to avoid being surrounded by walls and desks.
- If you are using a notebook, you can use this flexible USB adapter to change the orientation of the transmitter to 90 degrees from the Mint speaker.
- Ultimately, Mint Professional Transmitters and Receivers have more powerful radio frequency signals, thanks to two external antennas that will increase wireless operation range.
Q. Mint seems to interfere with my wireless network?
- We are doing our best to minimize WiFi interference since our first wireless computer speaker system in 2007.
- The Newer models use less bandwidth than the previous ones.
- Mint 2G wireless solution for the Studio and Pro system is a robust solution designed to minimize interference.
