• when the USB port of the desktop is surrounded by walls and desks.

• when you want to resolve wireless interference with laptop:  Mint USB wireless audio transmitter is rarely interfered by wireless LAN built inside laptop. However, if interference occurs, USB extension cradle could reduce the interference by separating Mint USB from the laptop.
